Playa de San Juan (Alicante Beaches)

Easily accessible by tram, San Juan beach is 7 kilometres of beautiful fine white sand, which is considered to be one of the finest in Spain and for golfing enthusiasts it also boasts an 18-hole golf course! This beach is backed by residential properties in the main, so doesn't supply all the facilities you may be used to, however at the end of the beach closest to Alicante City, there is a small smattering of restaurants and bars where you can enjoy a respite from the sun.
However our tip would be to stay on the tram until you reach the lovely town of El Campello, taking in the scenery as you travel along the coast (only a 25-minute journey from Alicante City). Here you have all the facilities of the bars and fine restaurants that spill out onto the lovely promenade that winds around the two beaches that the town offers. Both have beautiful white sands, water sports facilities and gently shelving shores that are perfectly safe for children. Stroll along the shady promenade towards the Marina and watch the fishing boats land their catch or, if you time your visit right, immerse yourself in the hustle and bustle of the weekly fish market! Either way whether you are calling for a brief look or staying for the day, the town of El Campello has something to offer everyone.
